Florence in Italian 'Firenze' is the capital city of the region Tuscany. It is one of the most popular city in that region. Florence is famous for own history for example like a centre of medieval European trade or like the birthplace of the Renaissance.
The history of this city is based on periods of rule by the powerful Medici family and other religious and republican revolutions. From 1865-1871 the city was the capital of the Kingdom of Italy.
Florence is one of the most visited city in the world. This city is noted for its culture and monuments but also for numerous museums and galleries. Florence is an important center of the Italian fashion.
